How to Change the Size & Font of IM Text in Skype - Is the IM text on Skype simply too small or too large for you, or do you not like the font? You can learn how to set it to something more agreeable.
Steps

Log in to and open Skype.

Go to Tools in the upper left (right above your Skype name) and click Options.

In the Options window that will open, click 'IM & SMS', and then 'IM appearance'.

Click Change font and change it to whatever tickles your fancy

Click Save.
